Responsibilities:
Scheduler/Secretary Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients as they arrive.
Verify physician orders.
Ensure appropriate exam entry is completed into Radiology information system.
Track patient wait times and ensure that patient is kept informed.
Assists patients with image requests.
Communicates with clinical areas to ensure smooth patient flow.
The Scheduler/Secretary will be responsible for performing scheduling, registration and pre-registration functions in a streamlined environment, which is fully computerized.
Position requires application of special instructions and procedural information to identify type of procedure requested and correctly schedule rooms and equipment; enter variouis data into computer systems; verifies the accuracy of data input; corrects errors and prints reports as necessary; performs TOS collections.
Must successfully complete Patient Access Services Training curriculum and must consistently meet departmental quality and production standards.
Qualifications:
Medical terminology.
One (1) year previous medical related clerical or related experience or an associates degree.
Good communication skills.
Typing requirements vary by department.
Fundamental knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application.
Level of proficiency in the use and application of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) varies by department.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
